Unsolved 1957 Homicide

The Boy in the Box

A friend sent these photos to me.

I almost changed my mind about adding them to the web-site because they are so disturbing.

Note: Some bruises do not show up until after death. There was one case I remember hearing about, where the bruises did not show up until they exhumed the woman's body (foul play was suspected after she was buried). Then they found post mortem bruising on her neck and convicted her husband of murder.

It has been speculated that the boy may have been a hemophiliac or had another medical condition that may have contributed to this excessive bruising.

This one is of the boy's bruised head. It looks as if someone grabbed him by the top of the head (maybe while cutting his hair, to turn his head from side to side) The bruises look like finger prints from a large strong hand.

This one is of the child's back. There seems to be a large bruise at the nape of the neck.

The next one is a very disturbing picture of his legs. This appears to be from severe abuse. No child falls and gets this many bruises.

The last picture in this series is of his side. There is also a large bruise on his upper left arm as if someone had wrenched it. These pictures bother us so much that we pray they find the monster who did this!
